Sweet as Pie

Meet Lacey (or Laceybug as we like to call her). She is 3 years old.
She loves her stuffed animals, having her nails painted, chap stick, putting on princess dresses and eating ice cream.
She truly has the kindest, sweetest little personality about her.

And this is my Nathan. He will be turning 6 in August. He's a daddy's boy, that's for sure. He's very quiet until he gets to know you, and he is the king of facial expressions. There is never any denying what he is thinking or how he is feeling.

A Little About Me

Since this is my first blog post, I thought it is only appropriate that I should talk a little about me...which is pretty ironic because I am not much of a talker. I prefer to sit back and just listen to others most of the time. I'm typically a very quiet person. If I have something to say, I'll say it. I have a difficult time warming up to new people that I haven't been around much. I was the shy little girl who hid whenever company would come over to our house.

A few facts:

I am 4'11". Brown hair. Brown eyes. 31 years old.

I am a Christian. I try to do what I think is right and set a good example for my kids. But, like anyone else, I am human and make mistakes.

I am the world's WORST liar. I can't lie. If i try to lie, it is highly obvious that I am.

I married my high school sweetheart, Jeffrey, and we  have two beautiful kids, Nathan and Lacey. They are my world. I know everyone thinks that their own kids are the absolute BEST ever, but mine truly are! I thank God every day for them.

I am a stay at home mom (for now) and love every minute of it.

I LOVE to shop! Shoes are my favorite to buy because they are always guaranteed to fit. I also love the Facebook boutique stores that do daily sales of super cute clothes, jewelry, etc. My favorites are The Blue Door Boutiquewww.reddressboutique.comShop Olive, and Pink Stripe Boutique. I'm a little obsessed with them all.

I am very OCD on certain things. It drives Jeffrey nuts sometimes. I like things nice and neat. But, having two kids has changed a lot of that. I saw a sign recently that read: My house was clean yesterday: Sorry you missed it! I think I need that sign to post outside my door and it might ease up my anxiety of anyone randomly popping up at my house.

I'm not entirely sure where this blog will go from here or even how often I will post. It will primarily be for photos of my children and my family, but I may throw in some random recipes or what we've been up to. We'll see....
