Party On!

Nathan and Lacey were recently invited to a friend's birthday party in Decatur at Mallard Stables. I have to say, it was so nice and the staff/owners were very friendly. Not only were the grounds g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s, but they had so much entertainment for all the kids. There was never a dull moment. This place is definitely a photographer's paradise. I take lots of pictures anyway, but on this day...my camera went into overtime. Here are a few highlights.

                                                            It was so pretty there!

Here's Riley (the birthday girl) and Nathan petting the horses. They could even ride the horses if they wanted to. Nathan chose not to due to his allergies. Poor little man.

Here is Bella feeding the pet goats. They also had huge pot bellied pigs.

They had a zip line to ride.

Lacey looks a little concerned in this one, but she held on tight and enjoyed it!

                                                                  A playground area...

Numerous tree houses/forts to climb up into...

                                                                    Wall Climbing....

The whole birthday crew took a barrel train ride around the stables and pond area...

There was special seating for the birthday girl to open her presents..

But these.....were the awesomest (Yes, that's a word in my vocabulary!)

All of the kids seemed to really love these - heck! so did the adults! Super cool!

Up in the treetops

This....is a genuine Nathan grin! He's happy here, way up high in the trees.

It's Like Riding a Bicycle...

Nathan has been working super hard to learn to ride his bike without training wheels. He refused to let us take the training wheels off at first, so Jeffrey had to raise them up as high as they would go. He had been riding all over the neighborhood and would try not to let the wheels scrape the pavement. After numerous rides of hearing no sound from it, we decided to let him try to ride without them. (*Cue a glorious meltdown from Nathan.)

After awhile, we convinced him to try to ride on the pavement. He got ready..

Pushed off...

                                                              Had to catch himself...

                                                                Pushed off again...

                                                                        Success!!!

I love it when he gives me this smile!

He's been riding non-stop and all over the neighborhood since. So proud of him!

Ice Cream with friends

Lacey's class at First Friends walked down to Limestone Drug for an ice cream snack. This was right up Lacey's alley. In case you don't know it already...she loves ice cream!

She had to have "chocwate."

School days

This is Lacey's first year at preschool. She is absolutely LOVING it, probably because she is getting to do the things she wants to do at home but I won't let her because it'll make a big mess. Anyway - these were taken after I had picked her up one day last week.

She made herself a bear hat, colored a teddy bear, and made a "honey pot" that was filled with Honeycomb cereal for a snack. She was so excited to show me what all she had done.
