As Thanksgiving approaches, I find this to be totally appropriate.
This was taken at Lyon Family Farms (the pumpkin patch). I did a post recently on our visit there to get pumpkins for Halloween, I can't say enough good things about this place. There were Bible scriptures located throughout the farm. This one in particular caught my eye.
There are so many things that I am thankful for. I cannot begin to list them all, but here are a few:
I am thankful first and foremost for my God and my salvation.
I am thankful for Jeffrey and my kids.
I am thankful for my family - my mom, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
I am thankful to be blessed with wonderful friends.
I am thankful for Jeffrey's job so that I may stay home with my kids.
I am thankful for my health, and my family's health.
I am thankful that I have a nice, warm house to live in, and food is plentiful.
There are so many more I could list. So many people take things for granted every day and don't take the time to give thanks to God for their blessings. As Thanksgiving approaches, remember to count your blessings and be in a spirit of thankfulness.
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1
